Ice wipers are indeed named after their original field of action by removing frost or ice layers of the extended piston rods 

at deeper temperatures. But in this day and age increasingly other challenges are waiting for these components.

• The previously successful used wiper type A-EIS-SL is now further improved by design optimizations of individual components in terms of performance and function and should further complete the well-known series

A-EIS and A-EIS-S.

• Main applications are steel or aluminium plants, scrap or recycling facilities, trash compactors as well as steel constructions for hydraulic engineering. For particularly ambitious applications, such as chemical plant engineering and construction, food industry or offshore implementations, the A-EIS-SL is available in a stainless steel version.

• The primary wiping lip designed with radial clearance is made of solid red bronze. It has the ability to follow the extended piston rod during movements and rod deflections due to bending forces. It also reliably takes away any viscoplastic or filmy adhering impurities such as slag splashes, welding sparkles or even lime scales from the surface of the rod.

• A behind-mounted elastomeric secondary lip made of materials such as PUR, NBR, FKM or PTFE prevents the infiltration of dust, fine films of remaining dirt or humidity and protects the system behind, consisting of bearing elements and seals, against damage by foreign particles.

• The A-EIS-SL can also universally be manufactured in larger diameters. The assembly and protection to the installation space is realized via the pressfit of the outer support ring.

• According to the configuration and the used materials, cases of application in a range of -60°C to +200°C can be covered.
